What is a dApp?
Regular applications are controlled and operated by central entities like tech companies. These entities control their applications and in most cases own all of the information that users create on their platforms.
A dApp is an application that cannot be shut down or manipulated by a central entity. As more and more dApps are built on Elastos, elastOS will enable an entire internet that is completely modern, private, and secure. This is the way the internet was always intended to be.
About Elastos:
Elastos is an open source global project creating decentralized web services that center around blockchain technology. These services are free for developers to use to build a reimagined internet designed for the Information Age: a Smartweb of dApps.
While several ecosystems are being built for dApps, Elastos goes far beyond mere smart contracts (self-executing agreements) and provides a full suite of decentralized web services that can be utilized for an internet without websites.

How to install elastOS APK bundles for Android
Once you have downloaded an Android App Bundle, you can install it using a dedicated app bundle installer app. You can install .apks, .xapk, split apk files, and unencrypted .apkm files using the Split APKs Installer (SAI). SAI is considered the gold standard for installing app bundles in the Android community. Here’s how to use the SAI app to install split apks. Download elastOS APK file (org.elastos.trinity.runtime_10005_49229572.apk) from APKBundles.com, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
- Tap the APK file you downloaded (org.elastos.trinity.runtime_10005_49229572.apk)
- Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.
