As more and more drivers engage in activities that take place outside the vehicle, there
is a growing need to automate and streamline these activities while still leveraging the
capabilities of the Omnitracs Enterprise Services system.
Mobile data capture provides a missing link between in-cab activity and what happens
outside the vehicle. Supported mobile Android devices automatically and wirelessly sync
the in-cab device and applications to securely and efficiently transmit information to the
back office without using a separate data plan. The mobile data capture application
supports critical trip activities such as signature capture, barcode scanning and
document imaging to help reduce manual paperwork and mistakes.
Drivers can capture information directly on their portable devices with an easy-to-use
interface that is directly integrated with the Enterprise Services in-cab device and applications. Logging
and tracking delivery information out-of-the-cab becomes quick, easy and seamless for
drivers and the back office since out-of-cab data capture is seamlessly integrated with
in-cab Scanning and Driver Workflow applications.
