Voiding diaries are an important part of the evaluation and management of patients with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). However, occasionally patient adherence to paper based voiding diaries is suboptimal and data is, in some instances, incomplete and of poor quality. Previous electronic-based voiding diaries have had limited success overcoming these shortcomings. Currently, personal mobile devices, either smartphones or tablets, are almost ubiquitous in our society and represent an alternative method of recording a voiding diary.
Daily-P allows both patients and doctors to use the advantages of information technology.
The strength of the Daily-P app is its development based on high-quality health information extracted from International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire (ICIQ). In addition, it was designed and developed from day one by a multidisciplinary team, which included Dr. Nuno Azevedo (Urology).
