ノベルゲームと言えばアプリとして製作・頒布するものでしたが、mp3のようにコンテンツ部分のだ配布する「.anbook」形式で配布されたノベルを、iTunesや音楽プレイヤーで再生するかのように、このANBooksで閲覧することが出来ます。
「.anbook」形式は「config.anprj」と「素材フォルダ群」などをフォルダに入れ、そのフォルダごとzip圧縮して拡張子を変えたものです。
「.anbook」形式はAIRNovelエンジンで動作します。
※AIRNovelとはMac/Win/iOS/Android/ブラウザFlashなどマルチプラットフォームで動作するノベルゲームエンジンです。
