己が体に流れる霊力を行你し、式を発現する太古の法
黒乃家は古来から符術を生業とし、その法を代々継扠してきた家系だった。
天火は自らに疑問を向ける。
自分は何故、そのような黒乃家に養子として育てられたのか……、と
なぜなら、彼は万物が持ちうる筈の霊力を僅かにも具えていなかったから。
術師として生きる姉や学園の先輩と共に過ごしながら、
知識として霊力と符術の存在を知るに過ぎなかった。
黒乃家が管理する神社に御神体として祭られている二振りの刀
刀身が血のように紅く、見るものを魅了する美しい刃
彼は確たる自分を蠽い求めながらも、この刀のようになりたいと思っていた。
気高く、誇り高く、そして大切な何かを護れるようなそんな剣に……
そして、いつまでも続くと思われていた日常は音を立てて崩れ始める。

夢の中のもう一人の自分
殺意にまだれた獣の咆哮
